Visualisation of Aberdour Castle Gardens
Historic Scotland contracted krayamotion to do the Computer Generated (CG) Visualisation of the terraced gardens of Scotland’s oldest ruins, the Aberdour Castle. The brief from Historic Scotland was to create visualisations for the three layered terraces as well as accurately recreating the ruins and castle. The designs were created by Landscape Architects, Peter McGowan Associates and krayamotion were tasked with bringing these to life. The CG visualisations were to be used for funding purposes and to be shown in the visitor attraction to generate interest.
What We Did
With organic detail paramount in this project we created a meticulously modelled and textured variety of greenery. The team created an accurate account of how the gardens would look on completion in order to help interested parties visualise the gardens clearly.
The result was film that showed the garden in all its glory. This was shown on large screens in The Aberdour Castle so that visitors could see how the gardens would look on completion.
